A timely decision is required to inform Rippon homes that the Council wish to buy the properties; waiting until September would be a risk that the purchase would not go ahead. Also the legal process can not be commenced until authority from Execuctive is granted to buy the properties.

11.

To create a fixed term four year planning apprenticeship post within the Planning Enforcement Team New!

Decision maker:  Joint Director of Corporate Resources and Head of Paid Service, Executive

Decision:   28 Sep 2020

Lead officer:  Chris Fridlington

Decision status:  Approved

Notice of proposed decision first published: 07/08/2020

This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
The Council has to be able to give the supplier of the apprenticeship certainty that the post holder will be employed by the Council for the four year period before the apprenticeship can be guaranteed to be paid for through the apprenticeship levy and before the post holder is able to join the apprenticeship. If the Council is unable to provide that certainty before the start of September then the post holder would not be able to start their apprenticeship until next year’s intake in September 2021.
