This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
Corporately the Council is adopting a cloud-based ICT strategy. An addendum to the existing contract would allow us to undertake the planned upgrades to the One System but at the same time move to the cloud-based SaaS solution. This will allow us to eliminate the need for investment into costly on-premises infrastructure, ensure that additional updates and system maintenance are all included, reducing the burden on our internal IT resource and additional costs.

It will also provide business continuity and risk reduction with high availability service and disaster recovery mechanisms.

The decision is being taken urgently as the reduced cost of this switch is for a limited time only
