RESOLVED that the Minutes of a General Licensing Sub Committee held on 24th October 2019 be approved as a correct record.

“That the public be excluded from the meeting during the discussion of the following items of business to avoid the disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1, Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006)”.

Moved by Councillor Ray Heffer and seconded by Councillor Mary Dooley

RESOLVED that the public be excluded from the meeting during the discussion of the following items of business to avoid the disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1, Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006)”.

To consider whether an applicant remains 'Fit and Proper' to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver's Licence with Bolsover District Council. (MB/19)

Minutes:

The Applicant failed to attend the meeting.

 

Moved by Councillor Mary Dooley and seconded by Councillor Rita Turner that the Applicant’s case be deferred to the next meeting of Licensing Committee.

 

Upon being put to the vote, the motion was lost; 2 for, 4 against and 4 abstentions.

 

The Licensing & Enforcement Officer presented the report.

 

Moved by Councillor Natalie Hoy and seconded by Councillor Rose Bowler

RESOLVED that the Applicant was not considered a fit and proper person within the scope of the statutory provisions, therefore, the Applicant be refused a hackney carriage/private hire vehicle drivers licence.
