Minutes - 19th December 2019 PDF 191 KB To consider the minutes of the last meeting held on 19th December 2019 Minutes: Moved by Councillor Rose Bowler and seconded by Councillor Andrew Joesbury RESOLVED that subject to the amendment to Councillor Dixon’s name appearing as Maxine Dixon, the Minutes of a General Licensing sub Committee held on 19th December 2020 be approved as a correct record.

The Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 To move:-
“That the public be excluded from the meeting during the discussion of the following items of business to avoid the disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1, Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006)”. Minutes: Moved by Councillor Ray Heffer and seconded by Councillor Andrew Joesbury RESOLVED that the public be excluded from the meeting during the discussion of the following items of business to avoid the disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1, Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006)”.

To consider whether a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle applicant is a fit and proper person to hold a licence with Bolsover District Council (MB/20) Minutes: The Applicant attended the meeting for Committee to decide if he was a fit and proper person to hold a hackney carriage/private hire vehicle drivers licence with the Council.
The Licensing Team Leader presented the report.
The Hearing procedure was followed.
The Applicant, the Licensing Team Leader and the Licensing & Enforcement Officer, left the meeting whilst Committee deliberated and returned for the announcement of the decision.
Moved by Councillor Andrew Joesbury and seconded by Councillor Steve Fritchley RESOLVED that (1) the Applicant was a fit and proper person to hold a hackney carriage/private hire vehicle driver’s licence with the Council,
(2) the licence be granted to the Applicant with a strong warning letter regarding his future conduct in relation to speeding offences.
