RESOLVED that the minutes of the meetings of General Licensing Sub Committee held on 13th April, 2023, 17th April, 2023, and 27th April, 2023, be approved as true and correct records.

Exclusion of the Public

To move:-

 

“That the public be excluded from the meeting during the discussion of the following items of business to avoid the disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1, Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006)”.

Moved by Councillor David Bennett and seconded by Councillor Sally Renshaw

RESOLVED that under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the stated Paragraph of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act and it is not in the public interest for that to be revealed.

 

GLSC6-23/24

To consider whether an applicant is 'Fit and Proper' to hold an Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver's Licence

Minutes:

The applicant attended the meeting for the Committee to consider whether he was ‘Fit and Proper’ to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence.

 

The Licensing and Enforcement Officer presented the report.

 

The Hearing Procedure was followed.

 

The applicant and Licensing and Enforcement Officer left the meeting whilst the Committee deliberated and returned for the announcement of the decision.

 

Moved by Councillor Emma Stevenson and seconded by Councillor David Bennett

RESOLVED that the application be refused as the Licence Holder was not considered to be a fit and proper person to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
