The Planning Committee is responsible overall for the
granting and refusal of planning applications, listed building
consent and other regulatory functions relating to planning of the
Council. The Committee meets monthly at
The Arc, Clowne and meetings are open to the public.
Planning Committee reports are available for public
inspection five working days before each meeting.
Speaking at Planning Committee
The Council lets applicants and
people who have written to it about planning applications to speak
to the Planning Committee. Each speaker
is given 5 minutes but they must comply with the
Code of Conduct for Speakers.
A decision on an application
will not be delayed if any person who had given notice to speak is
unable to attend the meeting or is not present when the application
is being considered. For further information,
